LE GOLFE / Season / Two days
AUTUMN.
TWO DAYS IN THE GOLFE.
An autumn weekend can centre on a market, a village and a walk. Keep the plan flexible: some venues and transport services change after summer.

AUTUMN, AT YOUR PACE
Three half-days to shape your weekend.
Choose one suggestion per day, near your starting point, and leave free time around it. Durations are our estimates, including breaks; these ideas are not a circuit linking all three towns.
01 / 3–4 hours, including a break
Saint-Tropez: market or museum
- On Saturday, start at Place des Lices if you want to browse the market. On another day, explore the centre instead.
- Have lunch in the same area, then choose the museum if you want an indoor visit.
- Budget to plan for
- No ticket for a walk; add shopping, food, transport and any museum admission. A market does not make the whole outing free.
- Seasonal detail
- The market is listed on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 8am–1pm. From Sainte-Maxime, check Bateaux Verts sailings and the last return for your date.
- If the weather changes
- In rain, choose an indoor visit with confirmed opening. If boats are not sailing, reconsider the journey before setting off.

02 / 2–3 hours, at your pace
Ramatuelle: a morning in the village
- On Sunday, browse the stalls before exploring the lanes. On other days, let the village and its views shape the outing.
- Plan a break and a flexible return. The village is enough; treat the beach as a separate outing to plan around the weather.
- Budget to plan for
- No ticket for the lanes. Allow for travel, parking, shopping and food; confirm restaurants are open.
- Seasonal detail
- The market is listed on Thursdays and Sundays, 8am–12.30pm. Do not assume the advertised summer market shuttle operates in autumn.
- If the weather changes
- The lanes include steps and cobbled sections. If rain rules out the walk, choose a confirmed indoor outing rather than improvising a trip to the coast.

03 / A half-day, 3–4 hours
Le Rayol: make the garden the main event
- Arrive early enough to explore without rushing the end of your visit. Bring shoes suited to paths and steps.
- Take a break before returning. Picnics belong in the courtyard before the entrance, not inside the Garden; ask reception about leaving and re-entering.
- Budget to plan for
- Paid admission. Check ticket prices, bookable activities and food; a Garden ticket does not guarantee a café table.
- Seasonal detail
- The venue lists closing at 6.30pm in September–October and 5.30pm in November, with last admission one hour earlier. Check exceptional changes for your date.
- If the weather changes
- The Domaine publishes closures for weather alerts. Check its updates before leaving; keep the rainy-day guide as another option without assuming travel remains possible.

THE LE GOLFE TAKE
Choose one area of the Golfe each day. Confirm openings before fixing meal plans and keep a rainy-day alternative.
What autumn changes in your plan
The tourist office publishes autumn outing ideas. Our selection is narrower: two manageable days rather than a tour of everything, adjusted to where you are staying.
Confirm two main activities and your chosen restaurants before travelling. An Explorer listing may have closed days or seasonal hours; inclusion does not confirm that it is open.

Plan 1 · Saturday in Saint-Tropez
Start with Place des Lices market if you want to shop: its official listing gives Saturday, 8am–1pm. Continue on foot in the centre and have lunch nearby.
In the afternoon, choose a cultural visit with confirmed opening or a walk. For a boat arrival from Sainte-Maxime, check the outward trip, last return and sailing updates rather than assuming summer frequency.

Plan 1 · Sunday in Ramatuelle
The village market is listed for Sunday, 8am–12.30pm. Leave time afterwards for streets and a break. Our walking guide lets you plan the visit without automatically adding a beach trip.
If conditions suit, Pampelonne can be a second stop for a walk or sea views. Check access and parking and skip it if it complicates the return. The village alone can make a satisfying half-day.

Plan 2 · Saturday at Rayol
For a weekend focused on landscapes, make Domaine du Rayol Saturday’s main activity. Check hours, prices and any activities requiring booking.
Garden entry does not provide unrestricted beach access: the Domaine reserves that access for supervised activities. Plan a picnic in the courtyard before the Garden, not on its paths. Keep the rest of the day light rather than adding a long hike.

Plan 2 · Sunday near your base
Choose a coastal walk or village near your accommodation. For hiking, use a documented route and check access, weather and duration. Our Gigaro and Cap Lardier guide offers different outing lengths.
An autumn weekend need not depend on swimming or an assumed annual event. Check the agenda for your exact dates; a summer night market or last year’s festival is not a confirmed current event.
The fallback plan: reduce travel
If weather changes your plans, confirm an indoor visit and have lunch in the same town. The Gendarmerie and Film Museum is one option in Saint-Tropez; our rainy-day guide helps compare others.
You do not need a paid replacement for every cancelled walk. One visit and a meal may be enough. Leave a suitable margin for the journey home rather than booking a tight final appointment.

Practical questions.
Can I visit Saint-Tropez without a car in autumn?
A boat from Sainte-Maxime is an option: check the date, last return and sailing conditions with Les Bateaux Verts.
Should I book every stop?
Confirm the paid visits, activities and meals that shape the day. Keep walks flexible around actual conditions.
Make your plan.
