BEACH · LA CROIX-VALMER

GIGARO

A BEACH THAT OPENS INTO WILDER COAST.

Gigaro works as a straightforward family beach or as the gateway to Cap Lardier. That double use is the point.

LE GOLFE TAKE

“At Gigaro, the beach is often the beginning rather than the end of the plan.”

You can stay on the sand, but the place becomes more distinctive once you move toward the coves and coastal trail.

HALF A DAY

Swim. Walk. Return through the same landscape.

01 · MORNING

Arrive early

Enjoy the beach before parking and access get busier.

02 · SEA

Keep it simple

Swimming and snorkelling work perfectly without over-planning.

03 · TRAIL

Head toward Cap Lardier

The official guide lists several routes from Gigaro, from the Semaphore loop to longer cap itineraries.

CAP LARDIER

The natural extension if the group still has energy.

The trail quickly leaves the beach for a much more natural coastline. Official loops make it possible to match the walk to the group.

GOOD TO KNOW

Heat and fitness decide how far this day should go.

The longer walks are substantial. In summer, check access, wildfire risk, water and weather before setting out.

THE MATCH

For beach and nature in one outing.

Easier for families on the sand than l'Escalet, but capable of becoming much more active once you join the trail.
