Two neighbouring chapels, with different uses to understand: Saint-Roch connects Cogolin’s religious history with its cultural life today. Our idea: walk up through the old village, pause on the esplanade and visit an advertised exhibition or opening without assuming permanent access.

01
Two chapels with different histories
The first chapel was built around 1630; its neighbour replaced it around 1820. Both connect with the history of the White Penitents. Our advice: look at the pair before choosing a doorway; an exhibition in one does not mean both interiors are open.
02
Walk up through the old village
The tourist office describes an approach via Place Bellevue and Rue du 19 Mars 1962. Use authorised parking in the centre and finish on foot. The route goes uphill; plan around heat and your group’s ability.
03
La Chapelle as a cultural venue
The municipality presents the older chapel as a concert and exhibition space, refitted in 2018. Check current municipal programming before travelling: events and admission arrangements vary. Contact the culture service about accessibility within the venue and along the approach.
BEYOND THE FIRST LOOK
Pause on the esplanade
The esplanade opens a view towards the Golfe. Our suggestion: enjoy this outdoor pause before continuing to the clock tower or Saint-Sauveur church. Respect the neighbouring chapel’s religious use and posted instructions; an exterior walk is separate from a cultural event or service.
