The Escape
LET THE SEA SET THE PACE.
A harbour, a long beach and Bonporteau for a different landscape. Cavalaire faces the sea and suits travellers who want it to play the leading role in their holidays.
LE GOLFE VIEW
“A simple day: sand, water, then the harbour.”
The waterfront and harbour form the heart of the resort. Bonporteau offers a more enclosed setting between rocks and greenery. Explore them as two distinct experiences.
A DAY HERE
01 · MORNING
Get your bearings along the waterfront before choosing where to settle on the sand.
02 · DAYTIME
Plan your access and enjoy a different stretch of coastline.
03 · EVENING
Return to the quays for a stroll and dinner to suit your mood.
According to the tourist office, Bonporteau is reached by a sloping approach on foot or by bicycle. The cove combines sand and rocks; toilets, parking and a picnic area are listed. Allow for the uphill return when choosing your beach.
Starting at Bonporteau, the tourist office distinguishes an 8 km route, listed as 3 hours with 360 m of elevation gain, from a shorter 3 km option via Le Fenouillet. The gradient calls for suitable shoes. Choose your route first and check path access before setting out.
THE USEFUL DISTINCTION
Cavalaire lies on the coast southwest of the Golfe. It is a starting point for days focused on the sea; if Saint-Tropez is on your daily itinerary, consider the journeys too.

FOR YOUR DATE
Confirm hours, prices and availability with the venue or its tourist office.
The tourist office describes a sloping approach. Allow for the climb back; access differs from the central waterfront.
The tourist office lists 8 km and a shorter 3 km option via Le Fenouillet. The 3-hour duration and 360 m elevation gain refer to the longer route.
Our suggestion: stroll around the harbour and waterfront, then choose a beach with a suitable approach. Bonporteau can be a separate stop.
